| It is for the information that the Government of Orissa vides its resolution No3965 dated 2.3.06 has de nationalised sal seed w.e.f. the date of issue of order. Panchayats will now regulate the trade. In this process the traders required to have a registration with Panchayats on payment of Rs 100/- for procurement of sal seeds, and there is no royalties besides that no forest permit also required to lift the stock for both internal and external transport. The forest division wise potentiatility of sal seed has been presented below.
